I have been reading a little about the Pioneer 300 recently and I was wondering if someone could explain why the RA-AUS MTOW is listed 544Kg rather than the 560Kg that the frame supports. Is it to do with the fact it does not reach to 600Kg so its not eligible under para 1.8, or is there some other reason?

Could be that what you are reading has not been updated since standard RAAus has been lifted to 600kg?

I got the 544kg from Alpines website, and an old reference on the RA-Aus site so its possible

I think it is determined by the weight that the manufacturer certified it with RA-Aus at. My aircraft was certified at 540Kg rather than the 544Kg standard weight. It's a bit annoying though, as recently, the manufacturer tested the wings to +6g -3g at 600Kg, but I'm still limited to MTOW 540Kg.
