Guest Maj Millard Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 I first saw the 'Blues' in the early 80s, when they were still flying the A4 Skyhawks. They were really awsome in that aircraft and their close-formation stuff was incredable. Then they went to the F18s and were lackluster for a couple of years, until they got 'in the groove' with that aircraft. Then more impressive ultimatly with the xtra speed and power of the F18. It would have been something to have seen them with the F4 phantoms, and one has to wonder just what they'll use next with the current front-line fighter aircraft just going over the top with cost.........................................Maj...
fly_tornado Posted October 9, 2012 Author Posted October 9, 2012 having seen the Blue Angels one weekend (twice!) and the Thunderbirds the next weekend, the Blue Angels are way better. The Patriots flew at Reno and where pretty good. didn't know you could tail slide an L39
