Just google "tiny tach battery replacement" the instructions are there on a Yahoo group users page.

 

Sounds a bit tricky but I guess if you have some basic tools should be doable.

Reason for asking is this aircraft is 9 years old showing 80 hrs if tach batt is good for 5 or so years now maybe it has done many more hrs than that sounding like one more reason to look at pulling the thing apart even when it's running great any eg of sim .

If the tiny tach is showing 80hrs that is just the time since it was first installed/used...

Check the maintenance and log books. First thing you should do when looking at any aircraft.

I have one of these off a Drifter written off in 2000, it's still reading what it was when it shut down.

Great news ......had a close look today and as far as I can tell it is not newish that's for sure I was hoping for a reply like that thanks
