Sapphire Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Nice invention. Can also measure the glide angle of a brick.

Guest Howard Hughes Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Could this be a precursor to being able to flare and land? Then I will accept that wingsuiting is flying!
Sapphire Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Then I will accept that wingsuiting is flying! I guess an object in the air is either flying or falling. To fly you need lift and to fall you only have drag. Seen some a/c fall into the latter at times.
Tomo Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 To fly you need lift and to fall you only have drag. So why do they say; you fall in love with someone, and in doing so can be high as a kite... oh the conundrums of life.
rankamateur Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 You want to be careful thinking so deeply about this sort of stuff Tomo, before you know it you will be saying all the right things, then next thing you know you will be sentenced to life! 3
Sapphire Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 That happens after love and you get married. The kite thing applies as well with a leash around your neck as you're flying. 2
M61A1 Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 So why do they say; you fall in love with someone, and in doing so can be high as a kite... oh the conundrums of life. It's because that particular "high", is an illusion/psychological. The real "high" can damage you physically, the other with mess with your head. 2
winsor68 Posted October 21, 2012 Author Posted October 21, 2012 So why do they say; you fall in love with someone, and in doing so can be high as a kite... oh the conundrums of life. Because Hollywood sold us on the idea...?
Sapphire Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Because Hollywood sold us on the idea...? Don't want to take flying lessons from Hollywood. Every movie there is at least one engine failure or crash. 1
winsor68 Posted October 21, 2012 Author Posted October 21, 2012 Don't want to take flying lessons from Hollywood. Every movie there is at least one engine failour or crash. And yet... our kids mostly literally take there "love lessons" from Hollywood...

Sapphire Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 I came in here looking for adrenaline rushing thrills, instead I get romantic dreamers... Adrenaline rushing thrills happen under the covers - they require good navigation skills and excellent stick control. 3
