flying dog Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Ya just gotta laugh. These "muppets" who read the weather. As accurate a quote from what I heard as possible. "Southerly winds turning to the east." Classic. I think that would be an EASTERLY wind myself.
fly_tornado Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 with periods of south easterlies ocurring
Guernsey Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 A southerly wind would be coming from the south so if it then turns to the east as an aircraft might do, then it would become a westerly wind as it would now be coming from the west. Alan.
Guest Howard Hughes Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 The other one that gets me is "becoming fine", so what they're really saying is the weather is crap at the moment! Now where's my half empty glass?
