gregrobertson Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Well i have just passed my flight test and i am 15 and my father is doing his licence aswell, so we are looking at different aircraft and like you said it would support my level and his level of flying so would be a very good aircraft by the sounds of it and yes a very reliable motor haha ;) Sound like you and your Dad should be building a Nynja. Very similar performance to a Foxbat, same engine and prop but about half the cost. You should be able to build a well equiped Nynja for around $62-65K . The advantage of building your own aircraft is that you get to know every nut and bolt in it. Makes ongoing servicing a breeze. Should be a great bonding experience for you and your Dad. Greg 2 1

eightyknots Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I can see there would be less heart thumping after this, after I did a paddock take off following some light rain where the Cherokee stuck to the ground like glue, and for the first time I had to assess a shut down point. A bit like this?
APenNameAndThatA Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 I know i'll get crucified for this but I find it hard to go past a fleet of 4 Cherokee 140's for the same price as a Foxbat. Heck you could have two fully refitted and repainted Archers for the same price... Except the take off roll would be 6 times longer. Well, in a 172 or 152 it would be.
