Kyle Communications Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 A mix of both types of aviation..fullsize and model https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSKOyJdl96c 9
Deskpilot Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Generally speaking, Sods Law would have had the camera malfunction and miss the lot. Loved it.
Guest Bigfella Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Very cool! maybe should mention theres a language warning... p.s. is that a cigarette in his left hand at the start of the vid??
motzartmerv Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Hahaha... The instructor patter is a little....ummmm... course!!!!.... Thats pretty cool though...
Riley Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Spectacular it may have been but he does himself and aviation a disservice by broadcasting such a stunt and I have to wonder what the odds are of he and his passenger surviving un-injured any repeats of such cavalier foolishness? I reckon the guy has more ego than grey matter and that the Darwin Gene Pool Principle will ultimately attend to his language problems. Being without sin and living in a cast iron house -I can cast the first stone.
motzartmerv Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Awell, your living life on the edge anyway, even just sitting in one of those things...:).. Whats an extra element or two of danger amongst friends...;)
Guest Howard Hughes Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Great video and from between the expletives seemed very calm and calculated, probably ex military. Just goes to highlight the difference between US and Aus flying, in the US it's not uncommon to see a helicopter in vacant lot, or grabbing a burger at McDonalds. Could you imagine if someone tried that here?
Guest Howard Hughes Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 I was more concerned about the guys approaching the helicopter at the end, than I was of the actual manouver!
CrayonBox Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 You mean like this... R44 at the Servo. We were there with permission ;) and the pilot got a coffee from the Sexy Coffee Cafe beside the servo. 1
dazza 38 Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Probably cost the student in the chopper $150 for that little diversion.lol
rick-p Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 All I can say is he should be grounded because that joint he was smoking was rolled in a very haphazzard manner!
Deskpilot Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Musta tossed it out before taking over control cause it never appears again. Does one throw away big joints?
rdarby Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Regardless of whether it was safe (not!) it's a freakin cool video, and I bet that kid on the ground a great story to tell at school the next day!
Guernsey Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Regardless of whether it was safe (not!) it's a freakin cool video, and I bet that kid on the ground a great story to tell at school the next day! Especially if he has a copy of the video.
