planedriver Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Look at what happened from 1998 until 2008. In just ten years it has grown and grown.Watch the pieces come together as they are sent up from Earth. This is the International Space Station (ISS) Assembly diagram, piece by piece.I had no idea the Space Station had grown to this size. This is really cool..... I wonder how much money has been invested to get it to this stage? That would also make ones mind boggle! click here

Sapphire Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 One day you will only need a minor modification to your ultralight to be certified to fly there.
Deskpilot Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Pretty awsome...I've seen it go over a couple of times, once when the spaceshuttle was docked. One huge satelite !........................................Maj... Let us know when it's due next. Would love to see it. Can't help wondering though, who came up with such a jig saw. It's as if there was no master plan to start with. Sort of, "Ah, there's a spot there. Let's stick another pod there and spread some more wings(yes I know they're solar cells for power)" What ever happened to the old idea of a rotating wheel that produced it own gravity? Is that going to happen some day in the distant future?
