planedriver Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 This is a real hoot, and not intended to offend our mate Sloper, or any others on here, who have a love of old cars. Why did I sell mine earlier in the year? Just check out the expressions on the faces of the young girls. http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/ItXKGyO6cRA?rel=0 "
Riley Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Inspirational! I'm tempted to dust off the Riley, glue in my dentures, get out my comb and make a pass at the foxy number in the kerchief with the handbag before Sloper gets there. Good one Planedriver
Guernsey Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Absolutely fantastic, it takes me back to the good old days when I was sixty. Alan. 1
planedriver Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 I have to admit my memories pretty good Alan, but not that bloody good! Duracells don't fix everything you know
facthunter Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 One thing sticks in there about sex, there is no fool like an old fool. At my age barmaids and nurses call me deary and other endearing terms, like lovey.. They only do that because I am not a threat any more. or perhaps they remind me of their father. Nev 1
PA. Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 A rich old guy turns up at the Seniors club with a very attractive 25 year old on his arm and announced to his mates this is his new fiance. When she takes a trip to the ladies room they asked him how he got such a beautiful young woman to marry a man of 70 years old. He told them he lied about his age, he told her he was 90. 1
facthunter Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Good move. She thinks she will get the money quicker. The saying goes, "there is NO fool like an OLD fool" Nev
Guernsey Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Good move. She thinks she will get the money quicker. The saying goes, "there is NO fool like an OLD fool" Nev I'll let you know if that is correct when I reach 90. Alan.
planedriver Posted November 21, 2012 Author Posted November 21, 2012 That' great news Al, because we tend to be a bit impatient on here:crazy:
Guernsey Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Consider it done....I have made a note of it in my 2029 diary. Alan. 1
Guest Howard Hughes Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 Consider it done....I have made a note of it in my 2029 diary.Alan. So that makes you 1-2-3-4... oops, ran out of fingers!
Yenn Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Riley. What sort of a Riley do you have. I learnt to drive in my parents Riley 9 and later bought a Kestrel with the six cylinder motor. Sadly I left it behind when i came to Aus. Lovely car, pass anything except fuel bowsers.
Riley Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Riley. What sort of a Riley do you have. I learnt to drive in my parents Riley 9 and later bought a Kestrel with the six cylinder motor. Sadly I left it behind when i came to Aus. Lovely car, pass anything except fuel bowsers. Apologies Yenn, I missed your question a fortnight back. I reluctantly have (eg - am wanting to quit) a 1937, 15/6, dual cockpit, Riley Sports Special - there's photos of it in these Rec Flying Aviation classifieds last Sept. I've been advertising to buy an early ( 1946/49) round-instrumented, 1/2 litre RMA sedan for a Riley Club three-month tour around OZ (Bris, Syd, Mel, Adl, Darwin, Per.) next winter but have had no success to date. May have to end up doing the run in the VW Kombi but will then have to park around the corner from the rest of the Rileys. There's been at least 1 & sometimes up to 3 Rileys of various models & vintage in my shed at all times for over 34 years. Ya think a fellow would learn eh...? cheers
Yenn Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 I would love to have that old 1934 Kestrel in my garage again. I saw one near Bristol in England a few years ago being used as a bridal car. Lovely car, but it must have been hard on the bride.
