Guest Holtymax Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 I am merely starting a "thread" after receiving the email from Ian & Corinne so they won't remove me from the web site. Also to get rid of the darn message on the top when I enter the site. Personally I am a person of few words & not into this chat thing though I do derive some enjoyment from reading the comments of others. Like most of us, I lead a busy life and my daily routine doesn't include checking in on this site, irrespective of my low level of computer savvy in this area. Giver me a spread sheet or something and I am good but all this social media goings on frankly leaves me a bit cold. Alll that said, can someone tell me how to now change my email contact address on this site? For the record I am a former GA pilot & Mooney owner. I lost all my worldly posessions but kept a few good friends who share my liking for things that fly. I relocated and took on a venture that pretty much ties ties me up 24/7/365 so getting up in the air with them does not happen much any more. All that aside I will do the hours required to become an RAA pilot when I can afford to do so. I also have a 3+ year plan which will see me changing jobs, buying an RAA a/c and starting a new part of my life which will include the plane and work. I am looking forward to it immensely. In the meantime I plan to keep abreast of the Recreational Flying happenings and thoughts of the community - which is a long way around just to say "don't take me off your site but tell me how to change my email address". Happy flying - Holtymax, Swan Hill (Vic).
Head in the clouds Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Hi Holty, sorry to hear of your tribulations, hopefully things will be looking up for you again soon. I'm also a relative beginner at blogs, and they're all different. If you click on the down arrow of your monicker at top right of the screen a box will drop down, then click on 'contact details', a new page will open where you can change your email address. Cheers, Alan

Guernsey Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 You will find that all of the Alans on this site are very helpfull with a wicked sense of humour. ALAN. 1
turboplanner Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Holty, congratulations for having the guts to get up off the floor and start again. I wish you every success. The beauty of a forum as against the more recent social media, is that you CAN sit back and just read people's written thoughts as and when you have the time. You can also follow streams of threads which match your interests.
FlyingVizsla Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Welcome back! Love those Mooneys - flew 3 of them and worked for a LAME who was a real fan, but unfortunately killed himself in one. Sorry to hear about starting over. In many ways it can be a real blessing - I hope it turns out that way for you. I'm not into social chat either (the younger rellies are all on it and can't understand how we live without it), but this site has so much scope to give and receive advice that I keep coming back too. Sue
