shu77 Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I found this in the World Aviation directory. 200Kt Cruise, 600KG MTOW, but a 57Kt stall, so a US LSA rather than an RA-AUS option. http://www.lhaviation.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=34&Itemid=27&lang=en 1
Deskpilot Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 That's a Mini-Imp isn't it? Certainly the same config. Shame about the stall speed. I wonder if a single seat version would be slower?

Guest ozzie Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Another example of Australia regs that are out of step with the rest of the world
Yenn Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 OK Ozzie. we may be out of step, but what is wrong with that. Ultralighting is possibly easier in Aus than in USA or Europe and much easier than in the UK. I don't want to be in step with anyone, I would rather be ahead of them.
kgwilson Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Looks great, goes like the clappers but you can only pack your toothbrush. Still if you could afford one you can pay expensive hotel bills & taxi fares without blinking
Guest ozzie Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Ultralighting in the US can't get any easier than FAR103. LSA, Europe and US you can fill both seats and the tanks and stay legal. Ultralighting in Australia, well i'm grounded at the moment. Must mean i'm goose stepping while the rest of the world is sprinting ahead.
boingk Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 We might be grounded at the moment but I reckon we've got a good system as far as all this is concerned. Yes, you can fly on FAR103 without a licence and build it yourself... but unless you've flown before its a bit of a catch 22! Incidentally, I'm also grounded due to waiting for leading edge tape from the Yanks. I'm guessing its been caught up in bad weather of late. - boingk
