Guest ozzie Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 second. some claim it was Alberto Santos-Dumont a Brazilian designer he committed the feat in France on 23 october 1906. Pearce was a New Zealander who probably missed out on being one of the first because everyone deemed him a nutter.
