CAR's? why read them when its perfectly legal in some states in the USA, and landing on roads is part of the syllabus in Alaska. Australia is a NO FUN nanny state.

actually, after a short read, it is quite legal in Oz as well, you only need to requirements to land pretty much anywhere in Oz, 1st, the landowners permission, 2nd, an assessment from the pilot that the surface is safe for the operation of the aircraft.

 

so, if you crash, you obviously failed in the 2nd. so its quite legal in Oz.

I often get asked if I can land here or there,,,standard answer " I can land where ever I want to, some places I may need a bloody good reason, or a dirty spark plug at hand", as PIC we can make the decision to land as per the regs, and as for the nose wheeler, nice stuff skyfox1 ,but I reckon the Cubs putting down on small boulders, not crusher dust!!! ;-)

 

I wonder how you'd go doing a water touch down in a nose dragger, STICK BACK STICK BACK SHIIII1IIT, SPLASH!!!

l will stick to landing on my grass runway Met and leave the river bed landing to the Yanks.
