Can't recall using one. except on the Chipmunk, where you use it differentially for taxying. Hydraulic brakes only hold for a while, and you can't rely on hydraulics for a park system and on big stuff doesn't work unless the hydraulic pump is "on". Chocks are needed if there is any chance of movement and small aircraft with low wing loading, should be tied down if you are leaving it, and gust locks on the controls etc Nev

No Steve...that back support thing I got from Reg is just fantastic....I can't believe something so light and simple works so well. The std seat shells are fine with that little gizmo....I bought 4 actually from the supplier so I always have some they were cheap too only 10 bucks each

You know he didn't mean to leave it in your plane, he was cranky when he got home without it, and had a sore back, maybe he was cranky because he had a sore back! I got sore in Bill's plane, day after day, even with one behind me, but found that a triangle profiled piece of foam under the outside (left) edge of my seat back and seat base gave me relief, don't have the same trouble sitting in the right hand seat though. When he left he still had them in there, but instructors don't fly in the left seat much anyway.

I rang reg and said I would send it to him in the mail the next day but he said keep it...I got the details and bought some. I saw him at Monto and again asked him if he wanted it he said he got another anyway. But they are really great you should try one Steve. I dont get a sore back at all.

Next time I see Steve Donald I will take some pics of his parking brake. It is pretty cool actually he has it mounted up at the dash heater hole box and it is operated by a pull cable like the cabin heater/choke cable. it is all out of the way and very neat

I was wondering if the ICP one hits you in the knee when it is engaged, it sticks out into the cabin a bit, with the edge out away from the dash.

Is that one park brake or two? Perhaps one on each wheel.
