flyerme Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 To complete Transfer of ownership RAA require "an Engineering order for the fitment of the Brolga Propeller"? The propeller is the same one from new and can be seen in the photo of the aircraft when it was new? anyway where do I get this order? and how much ?$$$$$$$$$$$$
metalman Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I would think a REG 35 engineer should be able to help with that ,but my first call would be the factory ,if it's original fitment then they'll have the paper work for it, as for $$$$ this is aviation ! Met
skyfox1 Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Go to a lame and get him to remove the prop check it and refit he will write up a report for you to send in .
djpacro Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 The approval process depends on whether it is Experimental or LSA or otherwise certificated. Cheaper if you can find some-one who has done the approval for the same type previously for some-one else. Reg 35 is no more - all changes approved iaw Part 21 and there is advisory material on CASA's website. If you need an EO then Five Rings Aerospace is worth a call.
Teckair Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 If it is a certified Lightwing (25 or 55 rego) you need the prop it is certified with which I doubt would be a Brolga. You can check however by ringing Howard Hughes at Australian Lightwing. It would not be good value to get an Engineering Order much cheaper to get the right prop. 1
