David Isaac Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Agree FM, just goes to show how hard they are to spot. Lucky the old man survived from the fear of injury to his grandson .. poor bugga. Thank God the injuries were minor. 1
Exadios Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 where are the markers? that close to the runway really needs to be visable. poor buggers True, it would be better if there markers. But, presumably, the pilot did a full circuit. That's what a circuit is for - to pick up things like power lines.
bedwa38 Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 In additiona to balls on the powerlines should that airstrip also have a displaced threshold.

alf jessup Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Sort of looks Foxbat ish but can't be sure, maybe allergo dunno what do we think? Lucky I guess got out alive. Alf
motzartmerv Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Who's responsible for the safety of the flight?? The PIC.. Its his duty to determine the serviceability of an airfield/strip/ paddock. This powerline didnt spontaneously materialise. Very glad all are ok. I dont like seeing sh!t hanging on windscreens either, gps's, fluffy dice, hockey straps, all good places for powerlines and aircraft to hide behind. yea Alf, looks like a foxbat to me. 2
