Admin Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 There has been an AD release for TECNAM P92, P96, and P2002 Series Aeroplanes by CASA dated 22nd Jan 2013. It is not on the RAAus web site as yet so here is a direct link to it off the CASA pages: http://www.casa.gov.au/ADFiles/under/tecnam/2013-0019.pdf
sfGnome Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Interesting document history. Tecnam published it in October last year. Users who are registered on Tecnam's site received it shortly afterwards. EASA (and hence CASA) published it on 22nd Jan (three months later) and it's effective date in their version is 5th Feb. And do you know what the compliance time is? Within 10 flying hours or 30 days, which ever is the shorter. It takes them 3 months to tell you something that has to be done within a month...
Admin Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 and after all that time and exposure, an important AD such as this with cracks found and an inspection required within 10hrs or 30 days, it has never seen the light of day on the RAAus web site...is this the RAAus Committee, snr management, web developer etc saying "Hey, you can crash and kill yourself, we don't care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I just get so ropeable when it comes to neglect in safety
