ave8rr Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Are the listings that are currently displayed on the RAAus web site "Members Market" now posted as they come into the office? I see one as recent as yesterday (01 Feb 13). This is great if this is the case. I guess what goes to print in Sport Pilot is what is listed at the print cut off day.
dazza 38 Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 I check it out nearly everyday these days as aircraft are added to the market a few times a week. Which I think is great.
ayavner Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Yes I really like the new format! I like being able to look at an individual advert and its picture! Step in the right direction :) 1
rankamateur Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Maybe it needs an email subscription notifaction of new listings for members who are currently shopping for an aircraft, so Dazza doesn't buy all the good ones before I see them!
ave8rr Posted February 2, 2013 Author Posted February 2, 2013 Slightly off my original thread but I am trying to find how a Ralley Club MS880B (Listed for sale) is able to be registered as a RAAus aircraft. These aircraft have an empty weight of around 490kgs and MTOW of around 780Kgs. This would mean that as a minimum would be single seat and very (litttle) fuel.

You would have lots of room for youe flight bag, just be careful how much you pack into it.

rankamateur Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 45 minutes reserve might get a bit embarrassing unless you wiegh 45 kilos.
ave8rr Posted February 2, 2013 Author Posted February 2, 2013 this means it canot be registeredMick But is.....
rankamateur Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 In the current climate it might be near impossible to transfer.
Guest Error404 Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 A J430 is around 350-370 empty. There is no comparison!
winsor68 Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 I wonder who signed the Rego of on this one?

I was researching that today on the net.I found a empty weight of 450KG for the o-200 powered version.Either way, its much pretty much useless at 450. 150Kg isnt much to play with. Also they have a history of being susceptable to corrosion .With plenty being written off due to corrosion. They can also be a hassell to repair the airframe as a lot of the airframe is spot welded instead of rivetted. The rollers of the slat tracks need to be serviced frequently & the nose wheel needs to be service frequently & correctly as well as it can shimmy badly.Thats all I know about them. 1
Guernsey Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I wonder who signed the Rego of on this one? It was our new tech man but you wouldn't know him as he was only in the job for eight minutes. . Alan.
