Jabiru7252 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 A notam for Big-City Aerodrome says flying flap-doodles operating up to 700 feet from 01 040329 to 03 310900 So, what do YOU make of the last line? Is it Jan the 4th from 0329 hours until March 31st at 0900 hours. If this is correct, why would they use 0329 instead of 0330? 1

Hmm - times on NOTAMs are UTC (GMT), so you would add 10 hours (if in Aus Eastern time zone). Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NOTAM - example given for London Heathrow 0609050500 0704300500 FROM: 05:00 UTC 5 September 2006 UNTIL:05:00 UTC 30 April 2007 ....still doesn't answer why it is from 13.29 local time though.... Cheers Neil
ben87r Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 0329 UTC would be the time it was first published or amended. Would need to see the notam to see which. The rest is correct 1
