Robertvn Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Had wanted to learn to fly for many years, only started this year, have been going nearly every morning, today had my first solo, how great is that feeling. Now look forward to refining the skills. So much fun. 5 1

Bluedog Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Awesome mate, I can't wait until I solo... How were you feeling? Before and after, I love reading about other student pilots, gives me so much to look forward to
facthunter Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 So now you can BOB around the airport. Welcome to the club. Nev
Robertvn Posted February 14, 2013 Author Posted February 14, 2013 Hi Thanks for all the comments. as for the experience Wasn't really nervous as I was not aware until it was time to do it, did all the things that I had been taught, was pretty busy with that, was noticeable that the plane was a little lighter and flew a little quicker, wasn't the best landing that I had done, but not scary, seemed safe enough. Its only after that I realised what I had done and the pulse rate was high, don't think I will forget that. Thanks Nev, I will NEVer forget the first solo
Guest Howard Hughes Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Possibly the greatest thing ever, well you know, besides the obvious! Congratulations!
Davidg Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 You never forget your first solo!! The biggest thing I remember about mine was how different the plane felt with one less person in it.....and on short final thinking over and over "now don't stuff this up!"
