How much fun was that?

Had wanted to learn to fly for many years, only started this year, have been going nearly every morning, today had my first solo, how great is that feeling.

 

Now look forward to refining the skills. So much fun.

as for the experience

 

Wasn't really nervous as I was not aware until it was time to do it, did all the things that I had been taught, was pretty busy with that, was noticeable that the plane was a little lighter and flew a little quicker, wasn't the best landing that I had done, but not scary, seemed safe enough.

 

Its only after that I realised what I had done and the pulse rate was high, don't think I will forget that.

You never forget your first solo!! The biggest thing I remember about mine was how different the plane felt with one less person in it.....and on short final thinking over and over "now don't stuff this up!"
