Kyle Communications Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 This goes for an hour but being a modeller for 40 plus years and always keen on aviation also a gliger pilot I loved this show. James May conveys his passion for flying in this. Great helicopter filming shote too. Its a project to build a model glider to fly across the english channel with some twists and turns to the story. I hope you take the time to watch it and I hope you thoroughly enjoy it like I did Mark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-k41z_ujop4 10

Brought back memories of building model planes out of balsa wood, tissue paper and dope when I was a young lad in the UK. The worst incident was when one of them landed in Leigh Creek one Christmas Eve, and I had to wade in to retrieve it. The water was bloody cold, being UK Christmas Eve, and my mum was NOT impressed! But at least my plane was able to fly another day (albeit with surfaces a bit warped...) Cheers Neil
dazza 38 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Im looking forward to watching it when I get home on Wednesday. Just watched it.Fantastic.
rick-p Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Really enjoyed it as it reminded me of the flight projects dad and me used to get up to when I was a kid many moons ago!
DGL Fox Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 There was another episode on last night about plastisine.. he got heaps of people to make flowers with it and entered it as a garden at the Chelsea flower show..interesting.. David
Dano Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Really enjoyable. It reminded me of my childhood, as I spent my first 18 years growing up in North Devon, around Ilfracombe, Croyde Bay & Lundy Island. Thanks Mark
