Guest SAJabiruflyer Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Maybe they just run a small tube out of the cargo area, turn on the tap, and let the big fan up top do the rest??
Guest Maj Millard Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Helicopters are commonly used as crop sprayers. They are fitted with spray-booms similiar to what are fitted to aircraft, and have the same pump/supply set-ups. They are often used to spray areas that are too tight, or too dangerous for fixed wing aircraft. A new Robinson turbine R66 was recently fitted for spraying at the Helibiz facility at Shute Harbor Airport..but Bell Jetrangers, Squirrels and R44s are most commonly used...................................Maj...
Jabiru Phil Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 very popular in NZ due to terrain. Used extensively for spraying hot spots, like grass hopper plagues country SA Vic.
