Guest steve-nz Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Hey there, had my first solo today, in ZK-LEI (my Jabiru UL 450) Loved it, did 3 great landings with senior instructor, then stopped, he jumped out and told me to go off for my first one - was a blast - loved every second of the flight. I fly in Rangiora, just north of Christchurch, NZ - wind was nill, so smooth up there it was really great.
ayavner Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Great Steve, well-done! How was landing #4? :) 1
Guest steve-nz Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Landing was great, instructor called it a nice greaser landing :-) Felt very good, comfortable landing it.
Neil_S Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Well done, Steve! Now it starts! Cheers Neil
Guest steve-nz Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Yes, more solo hours doing circuits, then venturing out, doing re-joins etc - lots to learn :-)
facthunter Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Thought Christchurch got a fair amount of wind. It's those strong winds that make the NZ people such skilled operators. Your best is yet to come... Nev 1
