gwaf Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Hi John, good to see more members in the South West Hope to see you at Bunbury airport one day you might like to come and join the big breakfast the aero club puts on one Sunday morning each month and meat many pilots and student pilots. Hope Will gets you in the air by yourself soon Cheers:thumb up:
mAgNeToDrOp Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I've been meaning to go to one of those Bunbury breakfasts - I believe they are quite popular with people flying in from all over for a $5 breakfast.... :)
Phil Perry Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Five Dollar Brekky ? ? ? ? ? Geez, that's twice what I'm paying around here. . . . almost worth a flight downunder ? Welcome John.
mAgNeToDrOp Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 $5 Brekky is the Carrot, the Stick is potentially a couple of hundred dollars cost of flying in but we just ignore that part in aviation ;) Any excuse to fly in an look/talk about aeroplanes....
Phil Perry Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I guess the old saying is still valid then,. . . when I used to have a quick flight from Moorabbin or Berwick with a couple of victims, er, friends,. . . up to, say, Mildura in the 70s, we used to call that the " Sixty Buck coffee break" also. . . well it was when you added the cost of four lunches and the aircraft hire together ! ( They didn't charge any landing fees back then. . . ) Phil
