Old Koreelah Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Great pix, Captain! Takes some of the edge off not being there.
Teckair Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Thanks for the photos Mr Rat, great for those of us that did not make it.
SRPS Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Great Pix! Had a great time yesterday, looking forward to getting back there later today. Also looking forward to the all day lunch at Tumut tomorrow.
Captain Posted March 30, 2013 Author Posted March 30, 2013 A few more from today (Saturday). A bit a cloud is coming through ahead of what is predicted to be showers, so plenty of aircraft are heading out. I have concentrated these pics on a bit more detail, a bit like if you had been here and stuck your head into a few areas. Didn't have time for more as I had to attend and speak at today's GM. 6
bexrbetter Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Aye, Cap'tn, fantastic shots, thanks for the effort for us 2
ave8rr Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Some LSA aircraft can be built from a kit, but being 'homebuilt', they cannot be used in schools. These aircraft, although LSA and therefore '24', are given the prefix 'E24'. The benefit? 600kg MTOW, (half of this would be paperwork......) So why not just register "19". Can still have a MTOW of 600KG???? This is yet "another" registration prefix for RAAus as if we havn't got enough now.
damkia Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 LSA"Leads to Sh!tty Administration" or perhaps "Lapse of Serious Administration" or even "Legislated but Seriously Abstruce" ( http://thesaurus.com/browse/abstruse you learn something new every day!) "Lacks Suitable Administration" "Lives Seriously Altered" "Less $ AUD" "Low Safety Awareness" "Leaves Sour Aftertaste"
damkia Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 So why not just register "19". Can still have a MTOW of 600KG????This is yet "another" registration prefix for RAAus as if we havn't got enough now. Could it indicate "European" indicating it complies with the Euro regulations (JAR-LSA), and may be undergoing homologation for Australian release?
Guest Howard Hughes Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Love the pictures Captain, especially the Bristelle, what a fine looking machine. What is the red car-like looking thing, some sort of flying car?
mothra Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Just got home. There certainly are some beautifully finished offerings if you have a lazy $100k lying around. ( come on Lotto) The red three whelled thing is Lightwing's electric city car.
rankamateur Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Any outcomes or comments on this mornings general meeting?
Captain Posted March 30, 2013 Author Posted March 30, 2013 Any outcomes or comments on this mornings general meeting? G'day Ranky, I spoke from the front table at the GM so will allow others to state what they thought before I say it again here. Regards Ratty
Guernsey Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Were there many at the meeting Captain and how long did it run for ? Alan.
brilin_air Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Were there many at the meeting Captain and how long did it run for ?Alan. Alan. 1. A lot. 2. Just over an hour. But it seemed to keep going after that. I disappeared and left Brian there and walked around with a friend with a well earned coffee. -Linda
Guernsey Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Sounds good to me so I hope a lot was achieved. Alan.
Captain Posted March 30, 2013 Author Posted March 30, 2013 Were there many at the meeting Captain and how long did it run for ?Alan. Alan, My rough count from the front, based on approx. numbers across the hangar and rough number of rows, had it at well over 120 attending initially. In the end it went a full to 1 pm or so, so about 1 hour 45 minutes. Regards Geoff
Friarpuk Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Thanks Captain Really appreciate you down loading the pics! 2
sfGnome Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Thanks for the pics. Looking through them all for signs of my partners who were flying in, but I just found out that the little beast refused to start for them on Friday so they never made it. Back to the mechanics... :(

I think you will find that this is a factory built S-LSA that for some reason ( some componant changed ) is no longer complient. It cannot go "19-" because it is not home built but the "E" indicates to all that it is now experimental and can no longer be used for training or hire.
turboplanner Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Well Captain, you've had a deep effect, not sure how deep, but deep...... 1
slartibartfast Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Well Captain, you've had a deep effect, not sure how deep, but deep...... Certainly cut me deep. Brando or Monroe? How about I post a naked photo of me on a bike and you can all decide? Someone must have one. She was not a bike. Seems to me she lived her life like a candle in the wind. Me too. (edited by mod) 4 1

The last "Sport Flyer" had an article on getting a Jab 6 cylinder fitted into one from the factory... 1
JUSTNUZZA Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Thanks Pylon, I thought all the Bristells were full factory builds, I guess post Pacific Ibis, the microscope of scrutiny is on x 100 magnification. Watching with interest in this brave new era of LSA. They are factory built. It is because the prop is a CSU and not certified that it has to be ELSA rego. same thing happened to my Roko Aero Ng4.
rankamateur Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 The CSU should not be a problem if the factory approve and support the installed unit on the type.
