Paraglider fatality in QLD

Just saw this on 10 News. Anyone seen any details? Not finding anything online.

I caught a glimpse on 9 nine news. There are a fair few witnesses of the accident, as it happened on the beach. The paramedics tried to revive the man but unfortunately he passed away.

A man has been killed in a paragliding accident on Bribie Island, north of Brisbane.

 

Police say the accident happened on Woorim Beach just before 5:00pm.

 

Emergency services tried to resuscitate the pilot but he was pronounced dead soon after the crash.

 

"CPR was in progress before we got there, but he was deceased," a Queensland Ambulance spokesman said.

 

According to eye witnesses, the paraglider lost power and spiralled into the beach.

We were at Mooloolabah Beach on Monday after Easter. There was a paramotor operating over the point. He seemed to be stretching the envelope with some extreme attitudes. I am not sure whether this was normal operations but looked fairly bad. Don

Looks like he was pro forming some low lever turns and miss judged it into the sand sad news he was only 29 .
