flindersflyer Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Hi Everyone. Planned a trip from Booleroo Centre SA through to BDV and LRE but need a better awareness as to how easy PULP fuel is to acquire. Our return trip takes us through BCK, BCV, ROM, SGE, LRD, NRM, CBT, WCA, BHI and back to BOC. Trip starts 18th May and weather permitting, back to BOC 24th May. I'd like to hear from anyone in or around these areas so as to get a heads up regarding refuelling at LRE, ROM or SGE and lodgings and refuelling at NRM. A preference is for PULP but we'll take AVGAS. In anticipation, thanks one and all. 1
kaz3g Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I had a quick look and you should get avgas all the way... Can't help with PULP Sounds like a fun trip. I took in most of them in 2009 when I went up through NSW and Qld to Mt Isa, then Tennant Creek and south around Lake Eyre back to VIc. Stay safe Kaz
frank marriott Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 BP carnet for avgas at BDV and LRE (probably other arrangement can be made with the refueler). ASIC needed and believe it or not they ask to see it at BDV of all places [unless you are wearing it which, I accept, is the rule anyway ] Can't help withregards other fuel.
