Ballpoint 246niner Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I've cleared a few hours in the morning to buddy with a student for an extended training area flight so I should be out there around 8.30.

Kyle Communications Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 Kilcoy breakfast was on this morning. Was pretty rough from takeoff to 2500 ft but at 3000 was smooth as a babys bum although it was 35 kts from the south west. Once past the range and into the valley it backed off to about 22 kts. The breakfast was outstanding...eggs benedict was yum. Lots of aircraft there we left around 12.30 pm and it was rough on the way back...much rougher than on the way out airspeed at 82 kt and a ground speed of 110 kt so it was 27 mins out and 23 mins back to Ycab.
Ballpoint 246niner Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Great food shots, next you'll be on my kitchen rules! hope it didn't unload in the turbulence..... LOL
Kyle Communications Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 You left a fair bit earlier than us Neil....it was bloody rough on the way back thats for sure. My stomach is ok I don't get seasick or airsick
Graham Pukallus Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Another great event at the Kilcoy Breakfast and Working Bee. The breakfast was a highlight. Many thanks to so many workers and to Mal Shipton and Team for the working bee re upgrade of the airfield with new airstrip/taxi way markers etc, well done it looks great. Yes Mark the trip home to YCAB was interesting. Here some photos of the day and the 25 + aircraft that attended. Graham & Val 1

frank marriott Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Ditto then on to Longreach! Is there something happening at LRE ? or that just happens to be your agenda.
Ballpoint 246niner Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Just a bit of a "bucket list " thing I've wanted to knock off over the lasts few years, so a mate and I are taking a C172N up there after a great weekend expected at Old Station.... Nothing special except to me.
frank marriott Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Thanks, I just thought there might of been something special on (flying wise) . Plenty to look at on a first visit though.
