I questioned CASA on this about 2 years ago, am yet to get a reply.

Try sending your request to DOTAR's, it is their domain.

 

although we do have RFDS, Police Air Wing (hmm), Emergency Services,

All of whom are actually exempt! We have ASIC's anyway, avoids unsavoury run-ins with the 'clipboard holders' who for the most part don't even understand the rules! 022_wink.gif.2137519eeebfc3acb3315da062b6b1c1.gif

Not the written rule, but my theory is; If its got a big fence, you probably should have your ASIC handy.

Stab in the dark but were you flying out of YSCH a few years back?

Transport Security Inspectors were at Moorabbin on Tuesday in education mode. Out of 18 people only one was correctly displaying an ASIC. " ... in future there will be individual fines for such infringements from the Department ..."
