Thirsty Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Just got an email - http://www.pocketfms.com/EasyVFR/ $59 per annum but I can't tell if the Aussie version gets WAC/VTC/VNC. It looks like you get the builtin maps with airspace boundaries etc.
Patrick Normoyle Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Thirsty, it looks good but may be difficult to get Aus maps, charts etc, plus Ozrunways is just soo good, and just a little more expensive and best of all it's a LOCAL product by a local guy. But if you don't have an iPad I understand the need for an alternative.
Thirsty Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 Hey Patrick, yep I have an iPad and OzRunways. This is mostly for those that don't want to buy an iPad. I reckon it'd do the job and for a lot less money factoring in the cheap android tablets out there.
jetjr Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 You can download for free (I think) and trial it but wont link to GPS so wont work properly but you can get a feel for it this way. I wasnt very impressed compared with Ozr. Dynon are using it in Skyview I think. Big plus is huge coverage in database - like all Asia pacific. Maps arent comparable to WAC and paper charts etc, more like standard ones seen on garmin 2/3/496 etc.
