frank marriott Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 The latest OzRunways uses a term rubberband in relation to an IFR approach point - is this a regular computer term? It means nothing to me, can anyone shed any light on what is meant by it/how to do it?
Camel Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I have just started with ozrunways, there are plenty of tutorials on Youtube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIrnTlnTQB4 this one at 1.30 shown how to pick a location, do you think this is what is meant ?
frank marriott Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 Camel You could have hit the nail on the head. I was aware of this function but did not associate the term rubberband with it!!!!!!!!!!! The bit I was refering to was GNSS RNAV Approaches: Rubber-band any IAF waypoint into your plan and you will be offered to load the entire approach. It does not "offered to load the entire approach" but then I realised that the ozrunways suscription I was using was the VFR package so the approach plate would not be included. Satisfys my query, the term had me lost, thanks.
