Hi all my first thread.

Been flying a LSA Texan club sport for the last 2 yrs and want to fly to the Gold Coast for a conference in August... Doing planning ok .. But wondering where people are flying into on the GC for a tie down week or so. . ? Heck Field or other...

Also appreciate advice on best route over the great divide to the coast... I was planning Sunbury, yarrawonga, parkes, coonabarrabran, tamworth, Armadale, coffs harbour then coastal around GC control space to heck field.

Appreciate any comments and advice.

Cheers

Rob

Tamworth and Coffs are in controlled airspace. you might be better to substitute Gunnedah and Grafton

For mine you would be better off going up the inland route to Moree (YMOR) then across to Warwick (YWCK) through Cunningham's Gap across to Boonah then to Hec Field, its shorter by 7 miles and a lot less time over the tiger country and you miss all the control zones. I have attached a couple of pdf's for reference. Don't rely on my route planning just for info.
