kaz3g Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I don't know how to embed these damned things but I saw this the other night and it brought back some memories. I was thirty years younger and it was me in the left hand Blanik, not Mark. The other pilot was Peter. We did get a bit bored towards the end of the filming and we raised the Statesman's tow bar about 4 feet off the ground at around 60 mph (100kph) by just pulling up a little harder towards the end of the tow. Driver was not amused! Kaz 6
dazza 38 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I loved the statesman commercials. There was one where a Cattle station owner bought a Statesman. He says in the add ' One of the boys thought I was going a bit soft buying the statesman' Then he also says "I wonder where he works now". It was pretty funny at the time.
Sloper Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 My daily driver is a Brock WB Statesmen Caprice Magnum, one of about 6 built. regards Bruce 2 1
