Thought forumites might be interested in seeing a few pics from Murgon flyin today . Weather was fine and about 20 or more aircraft flew in , many from Caboolture . Met a few Sav. owners including Mark Kyle and Graham Pukallas ( apologies to both if spelling incorrect ) not to forget a remarkable aviator - 78 year old Glen , in his Rotax 503 powered , pull start Thruster . Go Glen .

I grew up in Murgon, always happy to see some pics of the area. Looks like a great day for it!

Hi Bob

It was great to meet you and the better half on saturday. It was a great little break flying I am sure it is going to get bigger and better although it may get to be a long walk from the parking area that was only the second time it was done and I think there was at least 25 aircraft there while I was there. I also love watching eveyone taking off from the clubhouse it is nice and close. The other thing if you were a local that smouldering camp fire looked so inviting it would be a great social place at night too. All things being equal and weather I will be at the next one as well. The trip home was a bit slow with a30 to 40 knot headwind at but all in all a great day

I lived in Murgon from 1970's - 1991. The Burnett Flyers is on our To-Do list - a must for next year.

Small world sometimes, my family comes from Murgon, last family lived there a fair while ago before moving away. Have to go have a look at Angelfield sometime.

Hi Bob, many thanks for the photos of our fly in. It is a lot of hard work for our club. Many, many hours of time have gone into getting Angelfield up and running.

It is great that we are getting so much positive feedback as this is what we want all flyers to enjoy, our country hospitality!

Please feel free to fly in on Friday night as the campfire is well alight and a BBQ is always held the night before the fly in for all that camp underwing overnight.

Unfortunately we have had raise the price to $10 as we were losing money..but will try and add a bit more variety of food. This also now includes the price of home brewed coffee and tea... Money raised will go towards a weather station which is on our list. 098_welcome.gif.81ff07d492568199326e4f64f78d7bc6.gif
