planedriver Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Not quite what many of the Never Ending Story devaites think is normal, this could have a few of them peddle in in another direction. NOT MANY, but maybe just a few. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/114063537/paravelo-the-worlds-first-flying-bicycle
bexrbetter Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 . Do you have to house and feed the guy turning the fan or does he go home at night? (I know it's the chute but it looks like a person sitting there!) 2
Downunder Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 First thing I thought was " What's that bloke doing in the back" LOL 2
Deskpilot Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 There is already a thread on 'Flying Bikes' guys. Please try not to duplicate. Makes for confusement amongst us oldies.
planedriver Posted June 25, 2013 Author Posted June 25, 2013 Sorry Doug, was hoping that we could fly together in formation to collect out pensions, or, maybe others might possibly have been interested.
Zibi Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 That reminds me of 2 things: 1. My uncle was in the air force and he got me one of those small pilot parachutes that would pull the main chute used for stopping the plane on the ground. Something like this: What we would do as kids, was attach it to a pushbike and compete who can ride the longest before stopping with that chute dragged behind. 2. My friend had a neighbor who would use that sort of engine and prop to ski uphill in winter.
AVOCET Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 .Do you have to house and feed the guy turning the fan or does he go home at night? (I know it's the chute but it looks like a person sitting there!) Looks like he's turning the prop with his teeth Ouch!

(I know it's the chute but it looks like a person sitting there!) Looks like the ride has made him... er... airsick... Now if only it was a motorbike! (hmmm... that reminds me, I have to start a new thread).
