Hello, aviation enthusiasts. This is my first time posting here in this community, and I'm pleased to be part of it.

I would like to give my contribution to Recreational Flying Forum, its members and its viewers. But first, In order for you to know me better, and to know what I do, I have a video I made days ago, that you can watch, in a form of Vlog with footage of an instruction flight with a near birdstrike.

I'm looking forward to buy a GoPro camera, but I would like to know, which one do you recommend, considering the price/image quality, Hero2 or Hero3 (White, Silver or Black).

I wish you all safe flights and smooth landings,

Commander Mckoy.

Welcome Commander, there is a recent post on here that shows the Red Bull P-38 and Corsair doing an aerobatic show last month at a French airshow. State of the art go- pro usage and editing....well worth a watch if your looking at doing some go-proing......look forward to your future contributions....................Maj...024_cool.gif.7a88a3168ebd868f5549631161e2b369.gif

Dpls73 the Black Edition is a bit expensive for me. Maybe I'll get the Silver, because it has the wide angle with 1080p30fps, which White doesn't provide.

I'll look for that video Maj. And I'll keep this community posted with my contributions. Glad you enjoyed my video.

Can you also tell me where is the appropriate place in this forum to post my videos?

with the gopro, go the Silver, the Black is awesome, but the extras are only really worth the extra if your a pro, we use the Gorpos in instructing with great success, great for debriefing, each flight is recorded with 4 cameras,1 with audio.

I think the Silver will do the job. My videos will look great and provide a good debriefing for my students.

Thanks for your contribution, Ultralights.

Best regards,

Hello again to all! I have another contribution to make! I would like to let you know my perspective as a flight instructor. I made a video to Santa Cruz airfield which is a short field runway with a LDA ( landing distance available ) of only 472m.

I decided and got a GoPro Hero3 Silver and I'm pretty satisfied. I hope you enjoy the video my fellow airmans and airwomans.

Aeronautical greetings,

Commander Mckoy.

Hello again to everyone! Once more, I have a new video available for you. Its about 5 important steps of the Before Departure Procedures in a Cessna 152.

This video is a bit more serious in comparison with the other videos and if you have any questions regarding any procedure, don't be afraid to ask!

Without further delay I present to you my video:

I hope you enjoy the video!

Best regards,

Commander Mckoy.

Hello once more! I bring to you, one of my new videos! In this video we performed some touch and goes in a Cessna 172, with some simulated engine failures after takeoff and in-flight. I hope you have fun learning from my videos! Enjoy!

Best regards,

Commander Mckoy.

Where are you based if you don't mind my asking? I can't identify the flag in your signature panel.

rgmwa, for your curiosity I made a Time-Lapse Video of my base aerodrome. This time lapse was recorded for about 2 hours at a rate of 1 photo per second.

The outcome wasn't what I expected, because the planes performing touch and go, were too fast. So maybe my next time lapse will be recorded at 1 photo each half a second. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video as always.

Until next time.. Stay tuned for more contributions! ;)

OK, thanks Commander. Interesting to listen to ATC in Portugal. Looks like a nice airfield too.

No problem. Glad you liked it. Portugal has 3 major airports, Porto, Faro and Lisboa (capital city), and Cascais Aerodrome, near Lisboa, (about 11NM) and it is placed in second relative to traffic!

It has more traffic than Oporto and Faro. Cascais is mostly and "instruction aerodrome" with maybe around 7 to 9 flying schools, and in top of that you have private jets coming in and out, aswell a bunch of helicopters. During the summer, during the day, it can reach more or less 500 movements. It is the busiest aerodrome in Portugal. ;)

Hello Hello Hello! I have news for you. Are you a Private Pilot without Night Flight qualification? Don't wait no more! Come and fly with Commander Mckoy in a unforgetful flight! Hahahah.

Just messing with you guys. Oh well.. I'm sorry about the quality on this video. The GoPro camera isn't the best at night. So please, do me a favor, just... enjoy. :)

Till the next time Captains!

Best and humble regards,

Commander Mckoy.
