Graham Pukallus Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 A great day for the approx 18 aircraft who participated, having the choice of 3 Airfields to pick up our poker cards being Kilcoy, Mc Carron's Airfield, Bradfield's and Gatton Airpark. We overflew Kilcoy and Mc Carron's at 9am due to low fog. We proceeded on to Bradfield's and Gatton Park to pick up our cards and we had a chat to a few participating pilots before heading back to Mc Carrons airfield just East of Somerset Dam, minus the fog, a interesting approach and caught up with 5 other pilots watching everyone's landings. Arrived at Watts Bridge and registered our cards and enjoyed meeting everyone and a barbecue. Many thanks to Richard Faint and his Crew for a great day of flying and get together. Graham & Val 4

Bubbleboy Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 We called in to Watts Bridge a few weeks ago to have a look at Bruce Clarkes Sopwith Pup. It is a most delightful airfield! I could build a hanger and live the rest of my life out nicely there!....hhhmmm.....but I still have to work... Scotty

JimG Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Thanks Scott, I had a good run going around, bit of a late start due to the fog and always good to catch up with the other club members at the club house. looking forwards to next years run. cheers JimG
