vk3awa Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 On June 1st a group of four Jabiru's started out from Gippsland in Victoria to fly around Australia. I have set up a web page so that interested parties may track their progress. The group have been stuck in northern Queensland for over a week now due to inclement weather. If you wish to check on the group's progress see http://www.darylhooke.com/oz/ CHEERS Daryl Hooke [email protected]
BigPete Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 You lucky so and so's. :) thanks for sharing! ;) regards
Guest brentc Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Except that they got stuck for near a week at Innisfail QLD due to the shocking rain of late. (Sorry Nelson)
Alan Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 There is always shocking rain at Innisfail. Approach with caution!
eastmeg2 Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Daryl, Same Daryl wit the 5/8 Replica Bi-Plane ??? Regardless, say hello to Robin and Barbara, they did the Megafauna with us last month and mentioned this trip. Cheers, Glen & Thi
eastmeg2 Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Ok, Different Darryl, but I'm pretty sure that Jabiru 4699 is on that trip. Ok, I could have seen that from your website . . . It just so happens that Thi and I will be around Darwin-Katherine from 22-28th July. If your weather delays have you around Darwin that week, it'd be great to catch up and get some photo's. Cheers, Glen

Aussie Steve Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Progress ?? Whats the news on the group ? The web site says they were in Geraldton in July!! have they abandoned their aircraft and caught an RPT home ?? or just stopped updating the website I hope the later.
Guest brentc Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 The updates must have been forgotten! They made it back after spending around 14+ days in northern Queensland waiting for the rains to clear!
Aussie Steve Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Thx guys, pity they went to so much trouble to set up the web site & then leave it hanginglike that. :;)4: Its one of the trips I cant wait to plan
Guest brentc Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 I'd be more concerned about being 'hung' in QLD for 2 weeks! As nice as it is and all.
