Guest john Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 When a fly accidentally lands in the soup that is being served by staff at restaurants around the world, variations occurr in removing the fly depending what country you are in as follows" 1.In France the soup is eaten & the fly is left high & dry on the side of the plate. 2.In England the fly is quietly & discreetly removed & hidden under the serviette. 3. In Australia the soup is sent back to the kitchen, the fly is removed & the same soup returned. 4, In America the soup & fly are subpoenaed as evidence for ensuing litigation. 5. In Italy the customer storms into the kitchen & beats up the chef. 6.In China the fly is eaten first & washed down by the soup. 7.In Scotland the fly in wrung out & then the soup is consumed. 8 In Israel the bill is quickly ammended. The fly is an additional cost. 9. In India the customer complains to the Waiter & says "Whats this only 1 fly".
Guernsey Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Sounds as though somebody was really in the soup at that 'fly in'. Alan.
