Guest TonyHarrison Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Hi all, Just a quick post by way of introduction: currently working in IT but wanting to throw it in soon and fly, to that end I have about 700 hours, CPL, CIR and just a couple of endorsements (Islander and looking to a C208 soon). Actually found this forum when searching for someone to do a C208 endorsement with! Much of my flying is at 500 feet in a C182 looking for big (man eating) fish... but that is limited to summer time only. All the best and looking forward to participating in discussions. tony
planedriver Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 G'day Tony and welcome. A recent flight in an Airvan from Frazer Island amazed me how many of those big bities can be spotted from the air, as you'd know. Look forward to hearing more from you.
Guest Maj Millard Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Welcome on board, I look foward to your contributions. A friend on this forum 'Motzartmerv' did a C208 checkout in the SE Qld area earlier this year, you may want to PM (private message) him to find put where. Very cute blonde instructor as I recall..........Cheers Maj...
Deskpilot Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 G'day and welcome Tony. Where do you do your 'shark patrols'? I used to cover the Adelaide coast from Outer Harbour down as far as Sellicks Beach.
facthunter Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Welcome Tony. I did Shark patrol on the beaches at Newcastle, ( Caves Beach to Stockton) In the mid 60's. Saw enough of them to be a worry. I used to surf at Cooks Hill ( also known as BAR Beach. Nev
