Rotorwork Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 light plane crashes and bursts into flames near airport, injuring one man From ABC News A light plane has crashed near Geraldton airport in Western Australia's Mid West. Police say the plane went down just before 4:00 pm (WST) and caught fire. The pilot was rescued from the burning wreckage by police and firefighters. He has been taken to Geraldton Regional Hospital with serious injuries, including severe burns. St John Ambulance says a passenger on the plane and a passer-by were also taken to hospital, with minor injuries.
