Fatherly Advice

A teenage boy had just passed his driving test & asked his father, when he might be able to borrow the family car . His father said that he would make a deal with him. If you obtain better grades in your final school exams in a couple of weeks, study the bible & resume coming to church with the rest of the family each week & get your long hair cut to a normal style, then we can talk further about the utilisation of the car.

 

About 4 weeks later the son showed his father the high pass marks he head gained in his school exams, & told his father that he had been studying the bible regularly, & the father acknowledged the sons regular church attendance, however the father was disappointed that his son had not got his long hair cut.

 

The son said " You know Dad, I've been thinking about that & I've observed that whilst studying the bible that Samson, John the Baptist , Moses, Jesus & many other biblical men of great importance all had long hair".

 

The father responded by telling his son , " Whilst studying your bible, did you also notice that all of the abovenamed biblical men either walked or rode their donkeys wherever they went,"
