There's a whole heap of new stuff you have to train your brain to handle...like anything new. Sometimes it will seem overwhelming but eventually it will just click and you will find yourself ahead of the aeroplane and doing things instinctively.

Then you have nine months off and you discover you have mis-placed your clicker and you can't get it to click however you try. By click I assume you are refering to that lovely feeling when you stop trying to fly by numbers and start flying by feel, and the landings just smooth out miraculously.

Yep...been there done that. My last break was close to 12 months, but this time I remembered to bring the clicker with me. So maybe you reach a point went flying becomes innate and you don't forget?

Not like anything you have had experienced before, like a truck, grader, tractor, header, combine, push bike, slippery dip etc.

It's a new world out there. The satisfaction of mastering this medium is truly a feather in your cap.

You will not be disappointed

Enjoy

Phil.

When I get my plane nearly built I will have to address the problem, I only have my basic training done yet, I think the next 50 or 100 hours will make my flying more "innate". Right hand seat doesn't help your co-ordination much either (unless you are an instructor).
