Hey guys, I'm from Canberra, and am slowly working towards getting some flying training. It's been a long term dream, but funds are tight. Hopefully it comes around soon. Just working on convincing the missus that flying is more important than my kids education. Not holding out much hope :P

Cheers,

Bucky.

Hi Bucky

Not sure why others haven't been as quick as usual to welcome you to the forum - maybe the bit about Canberra...

Seriously, I started at 41 and was equally tight on funds

I started with a TIF from bankstown, then a TIF from albion park on a trike

The trike won the battle and am just about to get my Licence

I have every intention of adding 3 axis AC in due course and seaplanes etc

All I can say is get started with even one lesson a month if that's all you can manage - but if course the more the better

Regards

Mark

OK - just try to convince your missus that the knowledge and skills you get from flying will be passed on to your kids and will enhance their education 014_spot_on.gif.1f3bdf64e5eb969e67a583c9d350cd1f.gif

G'day lads, and thanks for the welcome.

Congratulations on the impending license Mark! Great news. I'll probably take the lessons slowly at first, perhaps a couple of TIFS, while trying to save funds for a several longer sessions.

Neil, my daughter of 6 already knows about yaw, pitch and roll, and has several hours banked up in FSX, so that may not be too far from the truth!

Thanks guys
