Admin Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Australia Post customers in Canberra, New South Wales and some areas of Victoria are advised to expect some delays to their mail delivery due to the impact of fire across the mountain regions of New South Wales (see http://auspost.com.au/about-us/mail-delays-nsw-oct.html). The fires have affected transport routes, which has led to extensive traffic delays and the need to re-route, cancel or delay some truck dispatches. In addition, Australia Post anticipate that mail deliveries will be affected in many communities across the country. Customers in fire-affected areas may wish to apply to have their mail redirected at no charge for up to 12 months. Australia Post is continuing to assess the situation, and making every attempt to minimise the impact of these devastating fires on its operations. If you are concerned about your mail, please call your Customer Contact Centre on 13 13 18.
