Hi All

 

Anybody have a drifter tail wheel spring they want to sell or know where we can get one.

 

A friend of mine, that now has my old dirfter found a cracked spring when doing per-flight this morning.

Try the late Wayne Fisher's daughters at Spectrum Aviation at Lismore, they had a lot of Drifter parts for sale selling up after their Father's tragic death.

Yep, check with Fisher's Daughters, there was a box full of them at the sale a few weeks ago, I grabbed one for $15.00.

Fisher's girls did have some CroMo, but not much, if they don't have it , try airport metals, I found them reasonably priced . The 2 outboard tubes are sleeved 6061 aluminium, I'm pretty sure Fisher's girls had alloy stock in reasonable quantity , even the fwd centre post I think is aluminium.
