Guest greggf Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 I'm Gregg , own a Fisher Mk 1 (Drifter) 912 that I don't get to fly often enough. 8)
Guest greggf Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 Further... I should add that the Drifter is my 3 and a halfth Honda. With an Accord a CRV and a TransAlp 650 (motorcycle) in the garage, I was joking to Wayne Fisher that I needed a Honda engine in the Drifter. Then he told me the paint (gorgeous metallic silver) is Honda paint.
Guest Glenn Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 Welcome to the board Gregg. I like to ask all new members this, how did you find this web site? Just a survey.
Guest vh-tqp Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 Hi Greg Then he told me the paint (gorgeous metallic silver) is Honda paint. reminds me of a friends Tiger Moth. He was going to paint it in the same military silver scheme as the first Tiger he flew in the RAAF. Then one day, stuck in traffic, he was passed by a motorbike (can't confirm if it was a Honda) with a green and yellow scheme which looked really good, and I have to admit, looks superb on the Tiger. So a classic British trainer was influenced by 50 years later by a japanese motorbike! welcome to the board Rob C
Guest greggf Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 How I found the site Yeah, sorry Glenn, I intended to mention it on my first posting. I found the site by searching around the AUF/RAA site then followed my nose. I think a posting on aus.aviation actually pointed me here.
