On take off run, the aircraft appeared to have suffered an engine failure. The pilots abort the take off but were unable to prevent an unverrun. The 747 then ran about 150 m beyond the end of the runway (36/01, lengh: 3500 m). It travelled through the airport fence and came to rest after a further 150 m. Its nose and left main gear collapsed before it came to rest in uneven, soft terrain. Substantial damage occured to the lower fuselage as well as engine # 2 which was bended from its pylon.

OMG. Landing or aborted takeoff?. No reverse thrust, 5-10 degrees flaps, what was he/she thinking?
