sixtiesrelic Posted June 16, 2006 Author Posted June 16, 2006 I felt sorry for the poor little bugger
Guest Glenn Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 That's funny. I think he is enjoying that :D What's the plane?
Guest Chainsaw Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Glenn 1 (heh) As you will find out one decade, old people like 60's and me do strange things sometimes, Its perfectly acceptable to us. It could be a new secret military probe!
sixtiesrelic Posted June 16, 2006 Author Posted June 16, 2006 I DIDDDN'T do it! I just saw it and felt sorry for him and took his photo. It's a Cessna 195
Guest Chainsaw Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 I DIDDDN'T do it! I just saw it and felt sorry for him and took his photo. It's a Cessna 195 You didn't eh? Ok I believe you. Betcha it was some generation X person! You know what they can be like. How old is the plane? Where is it located? What a magic plane. Have you any other pics of it?
sixtiesrelic Posted June 17, 2006 Author Posted June 17, 2006 It's been at Redcliffe for probably fifteen years. Not sure of it's age... it's sort of forties. The most magic thing about it is, it has WIND UP windows... Real class! I think the Fairchild Argus (Looks similar) has them too. I'll have a look when I'm home for other pickies. The engine is back on now... he bought a nice new zero hour engine, new prop and undercarriage legs for her.
Guest PRSOV Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 That's gold, are there any other crazy pitot heat tube covers out there... like 8 balls?
sixtiesrelic Posted August 7, 2006 Author Posted August 7, 2006 My cousin tells me it's quite common to use soft toys as pitot covers. THers's an engineer in Perth who does it on a number of his aircraft.
siznaudin Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Ok, Ok, I know we're not looking at a pitot cover, but it's in the same ball park. Just don't tell PETA about it:wink:
Guest Glenn Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Is that fox or wolf? Is the plane a skyfox? Put two eyes above the spinner and a mouth below and it looks like a big mo
