Guest Darren Masters Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Some videos I took out at Sydney yesterday (2nd Feb 2008) of the heavies landing on RWY 16 right. Not the best lighting yesterday and edited very quickly. Enjoy anyway. Guest Glenn Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Great vids. Love the 747 one but I'm pretty sure I heard the whine of a chainsaw motor in the background :P
Tim E Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Thanks for the vid's Darren..loved 'em..a bit of a crosswind on the 767 landing?..was the wind noticeable for you when taking the vid?...made for a great landing and video. Thanks Darren Tim :)

Guest Darren Masters Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Thanks all for your kind comments. There will be a dvd coming soon enough for those of you that are so keen to watch it at home in your dvd players. Basically will be to cover cost of the production. I have wanted to do it for quite some time and the same for Recreational (ultralight) flying. I will have the time to do it this year so stay tuned. Yes, there was a cross wind there. Great to watch the x-wind landings!!! I will post more as I film them :D
Tim E Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Yes Darren those crosswind landings are something special aren't they..must give pilots a real sense of a job well done when they take it in and do it well.
Guest g_i_jack029 Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Brilliant Darren, keep posting them, got me hooked nice footage!!! keep it up mate!!!!

Guest David C Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Great stuff Darren ..... Loved the 743 landing . A rarity on 16L , with only about 1800M of runway after the displaced threshold to pull up in . Oh the smell of my favouite Eau D'Kero is in the nostrils  Dave C
Guest Chainsaw Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Hey Dave, I was with Daz and EBW landed on 16 Right. Nice spot we had too :) Just love the Classics
Guest David C Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Chainy , Oh I thought the 743 was landing on 16L . On looking at it again it was 16R . Still a great bit of video and what a fantastic spot . Dave C
Guest Chainsaw Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Yes Dave a great spot. You do have to be careful with the container trucks speeding past though.
Guest Darren Masters Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Indeed old 'sticks' as Emma and I call it (due the HF aerials on the trailing edge). Did I say it was 16L Dave? Should be 16R.
